“MUSIC SENSATIONS JONAS BROTHERS STAR IN THE NEW COMEDY SERIES “JONAS,” PREMIERING SATURDAY, MAY 2 (8:00 P.M., ET/PT) ON DISNEY CHANNEL”

- Multi-platform Premiere Scheduled -

- Event Weekend Features New Episodes of Disney Channel’s Top Comedies -

Music and comedy – the two primary drivers of the kid and tween entertainment landscape – merge together in “JONAS,” a new series starring multi-platinum Hollywood Records recording artists Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas (“Camp Rock”), Chelsea Staub (“Minutemen”), Nicole Anderson (“Hannah Montana”), John Ducey (“Will and Grace”) and Rebecca Creskoff (“Mad Men”). “JONAS” follows the fictional Lucas Brothers through the unexpected, unpredictable and often absurd situations that confront these rock and roll superstar brothers as they try to live ordinary lives. The series features original Jonas Brothers songs created especially for the show.

“JONAS” premieres SATURDAY, MAY 2 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and will be showcased online and via Disney Channel on Demand and mobile platforms. (Click here for images from JONAS or visit www.disneychannelmedianet.com Registration required.) Gary Marsh, president, entertainment, Disney Channels Worldwide, said, “The true test of artists is their willingness to stretch creatively – to tackle new challenges. The Jonas Brothers, already established as music superstars, have done just that with ‘JONAS’ by stretching beyond their established comfort zone into the world of television comedy. And what makes them great performers on the stage – their talent for relating to and connecting with their audience – serves them perfectly as comedic actors.”

Exclusive full episode previews of “JONAS” will be available Saturday, April 25 via Disney Channel on Demand through Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Verizon, RCN, Blueridge, Wide Open West, Comspan, Knology/Prairiewave and Ntelos affiliates.

The premiere of “JONAS” on Saturday, May 2 will be simulcast on Sprint TV and MobiTV and available at www.DisneyChannel.com, which will also feature exclusive games, video and the “Jonas Videography,” a collection of Jonas Brothers music videos, interstitials, film and television clips.

New episodes of the hit series for kids, tweens and families – “Hannah Montana,” “Sonny With a Chance,” “The Suite Life On Deck” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” – will air Friday, May 1-Sunday, May 3.

In the premiere episode of “JONAS,” entitled “Wrong Song,” Nick Lucas writes a love song for a girl he’s just met — fellow student and aspiring singer Penny — despite warnings from Kevin and Joe that he’s moving too fast with this brand new crush. Then the brothers attend Penny’s first gig, where she sings the love song to another boy. Meanwhile aspiring fashion designer Stella tries to invent high-performance, tearproof clothing for her friends to wear on stage. Bridgit Mendler guest stars as Penny.

The series is set in the Lucas’ unique New Jersey home (a converted fire station equipped with technical gadgets on Jonas Street, the inspiration for their band’s name), where the three rockers live with their parents, Tom and Sandy, and little brother Frankie. When not on tour, they attend Horace Mantis Academy with their childhood friend and fashionista Stella Malone. She helps keep the brothers grounded while making sure they always look their best, re-styling her own and their school uniforms on a daily basis. Her best friend and the school’s star athlete, Macy Misa, proclaims to be the #1 JONAS fan.

The main title theme song is “Live to Party,” written and recorded by Jonas Brothers.
